These pictures tell a story.....

We had an wonderful time at Hayden's party Saturday night. There was a total of about 16 kids there. Everyone had a blast! The party was out at Pump It Up in Trussville.. it was from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm. By the time we got home it was about 9:15 pm and Hayden wanted to see all of his presents. Of course then he wanted them opened! Hehe well it was his DAY so we stayed up playing with toys until 11:30 pm!!!! I feel bad, but we ended up skipping church Sunday (we were all SOOOO tired) and the kids played all day.

Sunday was also my brother and sister-in-laws baby tea. Their first child "Landon" is due the end of May. I am so happy for them!!!!! My sister-in-law (Fletcher) looked so beautiful. I have always thought pregnant women were just beautiful and just glow with radiance. Her and Johnny are going to be such wonderful parents.

Of course this weekend also consisted of cutting grass. ohhhh I will be glad that I don't have the whole summer like I did last year to do this chore. This is one thing I will be sooooo glad to give back to Jason.

After getting my typing done today, I got outside and finally cleaned out the flower beds (some). When I get paid I want to go buy a bird bath and some flowers to plant. However some perennials (can't recall their name... pretty tall yellow flowers with big green wide leaves) are starting to come up (haven't bloomed yet of course)... and the Hosta looks pretty too. I want it to look really pretty before Jason comes home.

Well I know I'm not blogging as much as I was in the past... but I am staying so busy. I will try to blog more often so everyone knows what all is going on these days.

LOVE YA'll!!! :-)

Happy Birthday Hayden!

Today is my son's 4th birthday!! Happy Birthday Hayden! We love you so much! He really wanted his daddy to be home for his birthday, but as stated in a previous blog, Jason should be home in about three weeks.

However we are having a BIG birthday party for him tomorrow night at Pump It Up "The inflatable party zone" "Giant, soft, interactive, fun-filled inflatables - to bounce, slide, climb on and jump". Sounds like fun doesnt it? He is really looking forward to this.

Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birthday dear Hayden.
Happy Birthday to you!

Congrats Erin!!!

Erin (my oldest daughter who will be 12 in July) is in the 6th grade at our local middle school. She tried out for the school track team and made it! She qualifies for the 100 meter and the 800 meter. Their track meet will be April 26th.

I am so proud of her!! :-)

A heartbeat away

Sixteen months ago my husband Jason (who is a Sgt in the Army National Guard) was called to active duty. His unit was called to serve as Military Police at several bases in Germany. Although I have been grateful that he was not in a war zone, I will say the time and distance has been extremely stressful on all of us.

The first several months into his deployment I cried myself to sleep every night. I missed him so much and thought that this deployment would never come to an end. I would become extremely overwhelmed with my life, having to handle the household and children all by myself. The kids would cry and miss him, I would cry and miss him. However, I had to be the backbone of the family to be strong and supportive and keep everything together.

Throughout the past 16 months I have really grown as an individual and in the Lord. I realized just how strong of a woman that I really am. God has used the trials, heartaches, and adversity in my life to be experiences that have allowed me to grow to a higher level of understanding of His Word and His promises.

There are times when I was so lonely, stressed out, overwhelmed but God kept reassuring me of those promises. God is a God of love and His word says “The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged." Deuteronomy 31:8. It was a promise from God that I was never alone!

“Thus says the Lord, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.” Isaiah 43: 1-2. I knew there was nothing that we could go through that the Lord would not be right there by our side!

I also wanted to share a post from THIS blog that I wrote on May 26, 2005.

"Jason, When I woke-up this morning I was overwhelmed with thoughts of you. I just want to tell you how much "I love you"... over and over and over again. Yet, my words can never come close to reproducing the love that I have and how I truly feel about you. I love and miss you more than you will ever know. The love that we share is what gets me through every minute that I am without you. As each day passes by and night comes, I pray to have dreams of you, to feel as though I am in your arms again. And when I wake up to the reality that you are not here, I look at your pictures and anxiously a wait to when we will chat again on the Web Cam. I get overwhelmed when I think of the physical distance between us, but then I realize in reality you are only a heartbeat away! I love you, Deanne"

My husband will FINALLY be arriving home (for good) sometime mid May (we are not sure of a date yet), and what an amazing reunion it will be.

Thank you to all of you who have kept us in your prayers. Your loving words, thoughts, prayers and your friendship has meant so much to me.

We are attending a new church.

Hey everyone... I hope you all had a WONDERFUL Easter!!

I am so grateful for what the Lord is doing in my life.

We have been at the same church for the past 6 years, and although we have truly grown in the Lord and have been faithful servants to be used for His glory in the ministry, I have felt for some time now that we were not where He needed us to be. A door has been opened and the kids and I have started attending a different church. This past Sunday was our second Sunday attending the church (and we went Wednesday night). We are so excited to become a part of this ministry and the wonderful opportunities that the Lord has in store for us. The children's ministry is awesome and the kids are really enjoying it.

Erin will be moving up to the Youth when school starts back and I am so excited about this, because the Youth Pastor is my friend Laney's husband, Geno. I sat in with the Youth this past Wednesday night and was truly touched by Geno's dedication to ministering to the Youth about our Lord.

I am also excited about joining the choir because I love to sing His praises! I have talked to the Music Leader Kim this past Sunday and will be going to practice this Wednesday night.

Hayden too is loving the church and his classes. It is a true blessing to all of us.

This is something I have been praying about for some time now... and I am so excited about what the Lord has in store for me and my family!!

Praise....Praise His Name!!!
Love you!

Soon, very soon!!

As you know, my sweet hubby and I get to talk every day on our web cams...and that really does help, but nothing can compare to having him back home again. That day is getting closer and closer. Although we DON'T have an official day yet... he could possibly be home by mid May!

Our son Hayden loves to make wishes when he blows the dandelion. Usually I can hear him whispering "I wish for a real puppy" (which he will get once we move and have a bigger yard), but yesterday I heard him whisper "I wish daddy was home for my birthday". Ohhhhh this just broke my heart. Because Hayden's birthday is April 22 and Jason will not be home by then. I told him that daddy would love to be here for his birthday, but it would be a few weeks later before he got to come home. He smiled and hugged me and said ok.

It has really been hard on Hayden, the girls, me, Jason, and his mom...and it is so hard to believe that soon this will all be over. Soon, VERY soon... Jason will be home with us again!

Getting ready for Easter.

Hey everyone... sorry I haven't posted in a few days. It has been busy as always.

We had a pretty good weekend. The storm that blew through knocked out our electricity Friday night, but we had it back on by Saturday afternoon. Sunday we went to church.....we actually visted a church that my friend Laney goes to. Her husband is the youth pastor there. It was a really great service and the kids loved children's church too. We are all really excited and believe this may be the church where the Lord is leading us. We are going back tonight!

Yesterday I went and got my easter basket shopping done! Fun, fun, fun. I LOVE making baskets for the kids! My children are so precious to me!!!!!

Jason and I are still talking every day on the web cam. I love that man soooooo much! I can't wait for him to be home and for us to be a family again (We are a family... but you know what I mean). He means the world to me, much more that I could ever tell him. We are so blessed to have each other, to be a family.

I am praying that when he gets back he will start going back to church with us. He had some issues with the church we had been attending (as did I) so I was pretty sure that he would not go back there. But since the kids and I have changed churches I am hoping he will go with us (keep this in your prayers please).

Hayden had a Easter party at 3K this morning. It was fun!!! We just walked in the door a few minutes ago... so I will have to cut this one short and get busy with my typing (the one that pays me. hehe).

Thank you all for sweet loving comments... they brighten my day when I read them!!

Love ya'll!!

It is FRIDAY!!! :-)

Hey everyone!!

Things have just been busy here as always! :-)

I am still talking to Jason every day on the web cam, and counting down the time until he comes home. They could possibly be leaving Germany in as little as a month, then of course they go back to Ft. ...... (I'm not supposed to say) for demobilization. However I am not getting my hopes up about a certain day (not just yet).. because it may be the end of May, first of June before I see him. We just don't know.

Jason found out he will NOT be going to BNCOC (school I mentioned below - for those two weeks). Because of his medical profile and having to have knee surgery! However, they are not going to perform surgery there (because of time constraints), but will have to have it done when he gets back home (Torn meniscus).

The kids and I have a busy weekend planned. My nephew has a bday party Saturday and the girls have another bday party to attend Sunday too. Sunday we are going to visit my friend Laney's church. I have not seen her in a long time and I am looking forward to seeing her and visiting the church where her husband is the youth pastor.

I did some yard work this week (well I cut the grass and used the weedeater). I will just have a couple of months of having to do it and will gladly give that duty back to Jason!!! (I have to say last summer was tuff... keeping up with the house, the yard, the kids, and all I have to do). However, I need to do something with those old flower beds. I want it to look really pretty for Jason when he gets home. hehe.. I wish I could get one of those make over shows to come fix a few things with the yard and house before he got home (that would be cool!! - I love those shows).

Well I have LOTS to do ... so I'm gonna go for now. YEAH its Friday!!!

Love ya!
Have an AWESOME day!
